  • I'm currently sitting in the public library by my new neighborhood in Columbia City/Seattle, working on a take home exam for my Biblical Justice class. I sat down in one of the study rooms and commenced to work on my exam. As i was doing so, a gentleman came in and joined me, but I soon found out he wasn't there to study per se...rather he came in to pray, for he started kneeling, praying, and bowing towards the East. After he was done, he smiled at me and left. Not long after that another gentleman came in, toting his bible, concordance, and laptop. He sat down and proceeded to read his bible, pray and study the scriptures...looked like he was preparing for a sermon or something. Anyways, I'm struck that not only will i be living in a very ethnically and socioeconomically diverse neighborhood, but I'll be in a very religiously diverse one as well come January as I move into my new place.

So i'm all moved back to Seattle, drove in late saturday eveniing...lots of mixed feelings I guess, quite sad in many respects as a certain phase of life is now over. I must say that I miss Vancover alot. It'll take some time to get re-connected here. Come for a visit if you're free...
