    New Rhythms

So i'm into my third week of working full time now, and i can't say that I've gotten used to it. On the contrary, its been quite difficult on many levels. Physically, my body's just not used to working 40 hours a week...and so i find myself utterly exhausted after a day of work. Shifting from writing on the prayer life of C.S. Lewis to reading about SubQ unfractioned heparin vs Enoxaparin for outpatient DVT therapy is a hard adjustment. I must say i prefer the former. It takes so much more effort to be excited about drugs. My favorite part of the day is the bus ride i take from Eastgate Park and Ride to Harborview...i've come to really enjoy the space and solitude available to me on the bus in the mornings.

My rhythm of life is so different these days...no longer can i spend hours a day reading, chillin, studying, hangin' impromptu with friends. The career life can be so regimented. It takes much more intentionality it seems, to build community into one's life. And yet deep down, its what everyone really longs for...the safety and space to unveil and just be ourselves, accepted in our entirety. Lord, grant us that grace...especially amongst one another in your church.
